Samwaad (संवाद): An introduction to understanding everything LGBTQ+

As a step towards the inclusion of LGBTQ+ people, QEI Foundation's trainers addressed a group of about 40 students of Vivekanand School to create awareness on several aspects of queerness. We gathered on 1 May 2024 at the office of Connecting Dreams Foundation (Delhi) for this exciting workshop.
The time was used to learn about concepts such as sex, gender, sexual orientation, and the differences between them. We used media and interactive games to both cultivate familiarity with, and empathy for LGBTQ+ people. After debunking infamous myths about people from the community, we opened the floor to answer any other questions from the participants. The participants not only walked out with worksheets and exercises, but also practical direction on being inclusive of LGBTQ+ people.
